Dazzling white sandy beaches lapped by the Indian Ocean await your pleasure. The main industry is rock lobster (crayfish) fishing.

Named after the June 29 - 1844 shipwreck of the Whaler Cervantes the town celebrates its Spanish heritage. Just 250-K north of Perth the Turquoise Coast has yet to be fully discovered by overseas visitors.

In April 2002 we hosted Javier Barrio from TeleMadrid who arrived with his TV film crew to shoot a documentary on the history of Cervantes. Many streets in the town feature Spanish names taken from places in the famous book 'The Man from La Mancha.'
