Both buildings took 4-years each to design. Working closely with talented architect Mr Arthur Simpfendorfer of Habitat Consulting we were able to fine-tune each building to the best possible economy of space and functionality. Pinnacles Beach Backpackers commenced paying its way within two months of opening the doors to the traveling public. As a custom-designed and purpose-built Backpackers our guests were delighted with the general layout and unique flloorplan design. We kept all social areas contained to the beach end of the building, these then buffered by laundry, storerooms, shower/toilet areas before reaching the sleeping quarters. This meant tired guests could go to bed early and not be disturbed by lively gatherings at the far end of the building. Keeping the place immaculately clean proved a labor saving MO since everyone (just about everyone) showed a willingness to maintain the high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Many newcomers think the building is only a few months old when in fact it'll be seven years of age on January 27th.

Cervantes Lodge proved a far more complex issue being fully double story and multipurpose. Here again working with Arthur provided the best outcome whereby visitors and guests unfailingly compliment us on the layout. Our location on Thirsty Point accords encompassing ocean views just about all round. The restaurant commercial kitchen was designed by Mr Ron Hoddy of Kleenheat Gas who also supplied all stoves, fittings and stainless steel requirements. The outcome gave us a state-of-the-art kitchen that came through all rigorous inspections with flying colors. Importantly both building marry into one another in such a seamless integration no one believes the latter construction came 6 years after the first. We believe our buildings will bring much enjoyment and fun to many, many people throughout their lifetimes.
