The Prince & The Little Green Gnome.
This first book came into being at the onset of the winter of 1980 in tropical Port Hedland. The final story was actually written in a single day, but had been formed over the preceding years with its genesis in the south of Spain in early 1973 where I played professional music for a couple of years. Ah the memories! The wandering minstrel eventually eventually trading in his guitars for a word-processor and bringing to life stories instead of music. It seemed a perfectly natural transition, and a timely one since I really didn't want to be living in the fast-lane of pro music much beyond my late 20's. Still, it was great while it lasted.
The arch-villain of the piece, 'Prince VICHINE FASTY' - who dares to defy the ways of magic and enters the forbidden forest. Will these pig-headed princes ever learn?
There's a healthy message underscoring this story that's never lost on readers of all ages. It has survived the test of time remarkably well since first being published in 1980 and we are considering revamping the graphics with the fabulous talents of Mr Stuart Smith of Graviton Creations. Stu created the stunning graphics in the Pirates of Cervantes and has indicated a willingness to come on board with this one when his busy schedule permits. We have the audio CD which scrubs up well and can be marketed with the book.
It's interesting to note that with this I became published on my first ever manuscript - a remarkable fact that should go into the Guiness book of records I'm sure.
